The creation of "Family Trash" was both a cathartic release and a form of rebellion against the oppressive environment. The stark, minimalistic approach allowed me to channel intense emotions with immediacy and rawness. Each line and splatter of ink was an act of defiance against the mechanical and soulless response of society to the human condition during the pandemic.
By stripping down to simple, yet powerful forms, the series speaks volumes about the complexity of human emotions in times of crisis. It’s an invitation for viewers to reflect on their own experiences, to find solace in shared struggle, and to recognize the inherent strength in vulnerability.
Explore the "Family Trash" series, and you’ll see the humor, the pain, the absurdity, and the profound humanity that define our shared experiences. This is my art, my story, and perhaps, yours too.
